Teaching Reiki to Children

When I first began to think about teaching children's about Reiki healing and other healing technique, I could remember my Reiki teacher mentioned to me 'How she had taught her childrens Reiki healing including initiating them. When she spoke of this to her Reiki master teacher, she was told that she should have not taught and initiate her childrens due to them being too young. Hearing this held me back for a while from teaching children's, until later I asked my spirit guides for guidance's and answers relating about teaching childrens.

 My granddaughter who was 5 years old at that time began to have interest in participating healing. She began putting her hands over plants, animals and even crystals saying to me "Look nanna I'm doing healing. she began to learn very quickly just by watching me doing healing on family members living in my home. She enjoyed making energy balls. At the age  of seven my granddaughter requested me to teach her Reiki healing, I finally got my answer to begin teaching Reiki to children. I brought my granddaughter a book called Reiki for Children's. She was so delighted and began to read and learn all the symbols in the book even though they are totally different to ones I taught her, within one week she had learnt all the self healing techniques and all the symbol from the book. Without me knowing she had also learnt many angel symbols from my workshop paper's. My Granddaughter is now 8 years old and has been attuned to Level 1 and 2 Reiki. Teaching children teaches them compassion, love and harmony and even bringing these qualities into their lives.

Children's are great to teach and a rewarding experience. I enjoy teaching childrens its fun and a beautiful sight to see their face's filled with joy learning something different from what they normally learn from school. Childrens experiment getting in touch with their own energy and other energies and how it works.

This is a New Age and everything is changing. I encourage Reiki teachers/masters to teach children.
